Father's Day 09

We spent this year's Father's Day in Lake Charles with Ben's parents. We had so much fun!! On Saturday we went to some friends' house to swim. We had the pool all to ourselves and we all really enjoyed ourselves. That evening Ben and I went on a date since we celebrated our 5th anniversary the day before. It was nice to have time to ourselves for a couple of hours. On Sunday, we went to church, took Father's Day pictures and had a yummy lunch. Eden then gave her Daddy and Grandaddy gifts. She had a blast. Lincoln was such a good baby the entire weekend - traveling and all.

5 years and counting...

I am so blessed to be celebrating 5 wonderful years of marriage to such a wonderful man. I praise God for his spiritual leadership, love towards me and our children, and hard work to allow me to stay home with the kids. I love you, Baby and I look forward to many many more years.

Patty Update

How amazing is God's creation. We have been observing the life cycle of a butterfly and each day Eden and I look to see the changes. Patty is now a free butterfly and it was nice knowing her:)

6/8 We noticed the wings' design through the chrysalis


6/9 AM The chrysalis turned black and the butterfly design was more apparent


6/9 Mid morning - Patty emerged from her chrysalis and soon after flew away


Eden was amazed.

My little fashionista!

Eden has her own sense of style. It's so cute to watch her express her little self. This picture is perfect example of that. This is Eden modeling her nightgown accessorized by her pink shell sunglasses, flower power bag and ONE shoe. She has the walk and posture to go with the personality:)

Patty the Chrysalis

6/1 Patty formed into a chrysalis/Eden is waving to Patty





I researched on butterflies and I found a picture of a chrysalis that looks exactly like ours and it was labeled as a Monarch Butterfly


6/3 Baby and a 3rd caterpillar. They grow so fast.

Ben brought home from work last Fri. a Butterfly Weed with a caterpillar on it. We thought it would be neat to show Eden Metamorphosis. I have to say Ben and I have enjoyed looking at it too. We asked Eden to say caterpillar and it came out "Patty" so that's what we named it. I will be editing this post in the next few days as things change.

Aquarium

On Saturday, Ben and I decided to take the kids to the aquarium. Eden went last year but we knew she wouldn't remember. We had so much fun and it was Lincoln's 1st time. Eden was able to point out and say: fish, turtle, bird, etc.
